University of Melbourne

The University of Melbourne climbed four places to rank seventh in the world for graduate employability this year and notches up the highest score among all Australian universities for its Graduate Employment Rate (ranked 10th globally).

Their approach is definitely working as the university boasts four Australian prime ministers among its alumni, plus other successful figures such as Barry Humphries and Germaine Greer.

University of New South Wales

University of New South Wales is a new entrant into the graduate employability list, coming in at 36th place. It has recently been awarded the five-stars for “Getting a job” by The Good Universities Guide. UNSW also scored the maximum five-star rating in four other key performance areas: student retention, starting salary, staff-student ratio and student demand.

University of Queensland

This year, the University of Queensland finds place in the top 50 universities for graduate employability in the world. Boasting a higher graduate employment rate than the national average, UQ extends its students a free online employability course and has other initiatives to help maximize students’ success, such as short-term global experiences ,student exchange programs, career workshops, internships, and more.

University of Technology, Sydney

Coming in at number 69 in the world, UTS places 76 percent of its graduates into full-time or part time employment three months after completion of their course.

No surprises then that it scored highest on graduate employment rate, but also clocked up great scores in employer reputation and employer-student connections.
